Marshall Falcon has played close to 3,000 gigs, toured the world, shared stages with some huge names, and built a life around music. Now he joins Camden, a.k.a. the Honky Tonk Hair Machine, on the podcast. Born in Rio Bravo, Tamaulipas, Mexico and raised in Houston, Texas, Marshall’s musical journey has taken him from discovering country, blues and punk rock as a kid to joining Houston punk band 30footFALL, touring relentlessly and developing a sound and style shaped by both his Texas upbringing and Mexican heritage. Coming out of Forney Texas with stories of bad luck followed by worse decisions, Zach Welch sings his songs about heartbreak and self-loathing with an energy that’s just happy to be there. Claiming “this song made my mama cry so it must be good” at least twice every show, he tells these stories through a Budweiser-soaked, part hippie, part cowboy, and part punk rock demeanor. Often hanging around the bar long after the show ends making friends and telling anybody who will listen to the stories behind the songs. If you see his name on a sign at the bar, check him out.
