When Marshall Falcon picked up a guitar as a kid in Houston, he had no idea it would eventually carry him across continents, onto festival stages, and into the lives of thousands of people who'd come to hear him play. Nearly 3,000 gigs later, he's still discovering something new every time he steps in front of an audience—a testament to the kind of restless creative spirit that refuses to settle or play it safe.
Born in Rio Bravo, Tamaulipas, Mexico and raised on the gritty streets of Houston, Marshall's musical foundation was built on an unlikely collision of influences. Country, blues, and punk rock collided in his teenage ears, each genre speaking to something real in his hybrid identity. That combination—rather than diluting his sound—became the bedrock of everything he'd create. There's a particular honesty that comes from artists who grow up straddling two cultures, two languages, two musical worlds. Marshall Falcon is one of those artists, and the results have been impossible to ignore.
His early days were spent in the Houston punk scene, playing with the band 30footFALL in the kind of sweaty basement venues and cramped clubs where rock and roll still felt dangerous.
