King Strang is the one-man-band project of Michael Sinner, a Portland-based artist who blends traditional folk music with 1940s jazz influences, ragpunk energy, and unconventional instruments like resonator guitar, stomp box, and kazoo. His sound refuses easy categorization, merging old-timey aesthetics with contemporary sensibilities while maintaining genuine emotional depth. Sinner is deeply embedded in the Portland music community, collaborating with projects like the Bridge City Sinners and Clyde and the Milltailers.
