The sacrifices that come with fatherhood and touring are real, and Wayne doesn't romanticize them. Leaving your kids to chase music, even when you've built something worth chasing, requires a kind of daily negotiation with guilt and purpose. He's earned the right to be honest about that tension rather than pretend it resolves cleanly.
