“Jared Shoemaker is a rising country-rock singer and U.S. Navy veteran based in Richmond, Kentucky. He gained national prominence as a standout contestant on Season 29 of NBC's The Voice on Team Adam. He is also the lead singer for his band, Marshull.

Shoemaker grew up playing the snare drum in an Irish bagpipe band. However, his singing journey truly began during his U.S. Navy service, where he would sing to boost morale while stationed aboard the aircraft carrier USS George H.W. Bush. After his honorable discharge, he worked briefly as a control room operator dismantling chemical weapons before pursuing his true passion for music full-time.

During the pandemic, Shoemaker formed the country-rock band Marshull alongside drummer Justin Harris, bassist Tristan Lambert, and guitarist Camden Baso. The band became a prominent live act across the Southeast, opening for major country and southern rock acts like Diamond Rio and Colt Ford. In January 2026, Marshull released their nine-track debut album, Long Time Coming, which features fan-favorite tracks like "Chicken Pickin'," "All Night Long," and "Rock N Roll Cowboy".

Showmaker stepped into the national spotlight during Season 29 of NBC's The Voice. He delivered a stellar Blind Audition of Zach Top's "I Never Lie," which secured the very last spot on Team Adam Levine.

Known for his soulful, country vocal tone, Shoemaker successfully advanced through the Battle and Knockout Rounds of the competition, captivating audiences with his personal story and stage presence.

Shoemaker’s sound blends traditional country storytelling with gritty southern-rock energy. Inspired by his background, his songwriting covers a wide array of topics, spanning from high-energy, fun honky-tonk tracks to deeply introspective and faith-based themes.”
